Cabo San Lucas – Best beaches
Two of western Mexico’s best beaches are in Los Cabos on Cabo San Lucas Bay. Playa del Amor (Lover’s Beach) is a natural wonder and one of the most photographed in the country. Hidden behind the arch at Land’s End. Lover’s Beach is small, difficult to get to on foot, it is best to take a water taxi from the marina or El Medano (The Dune) Cabo’s main beach across the bay by the bustling marina and party beach scene on the golden stretch of sand that winds several miles around Cabo San Lucas Bay. Safe for swimming, kids can play in the waves without too much surf, lined with fun places to hang out, all-day happy hours and all types of food and drink. At night some of the restaurants have theme shows, folkloric dance, rock and reggae bands.
In high season there are boats that run people up on the sand, reenacting ship wrecks like the old pirate days with lots of dancing, celebrating and food. During Spring Break thousands of students descend of the beach for volleyball and bikini contests. With the sailboats moored in the bay, the view of the arch visible from every angle and the smells and sounds of good food and fun, El Medano is a big part of what Cabo San Lucas is all about. All within a short walking distance of Marina Sol Resort.
